Did you know, ALL of PRYFC's coaches are certified with USA Football's "Head's Up" program? In addition to teaching coaches proper technique to ensure safety, our coaches learn extensively about the signs and symptoms of concussions, as well as heat exhaustion and basic first aid.

Certified EMT's are at every game site, every Saturday.

On top of all coaches completing the 4 hour USA Football course, PRYFC has a Player Safety Rep and Coaches' Agent on staff, both to further the education and development of coaches. Our entire Executive Board is very hands on when it comes to player safety, proper technique being taught, and providing all the necessary resources for our coaches.

We have a very close relationship with the high school program and the high school coaches host several meetings for our youth coaches throughout the year.

Live Scan is required by all first time volunteers or any volunteers with a break in service. Please fill out and take to Paso PD, Perry's Parcel's or Atascadero PD. The UPS Store by Lowe's will do Live Scans by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Keep a copy of your form and your receipt for your records.

We will also need a print out of your USA Football Course Completion Certificate or CDC Concussion Awareness for cheer, and it is helpful to get your live scan receipt also. (Only if your live scan was completed for the 2022 season)


All football coaches and team parents (if they would like a sideline pass) will also have to complete the USA Football Tackle Certification and keep a print out of their completion certificate. The print out will be required to be turned into the AD.

Cheer coaches and team parents will need to complete the CDC Concussion Awareness Course and keep a print out of their completion certificate. The print out will be required to be turned into the Cheer Secretary/Director.
